The Piece

The Terravane is a rounded urn vase pressed from solid iron and hand-finished with a coarse, chalk-matte texture that reads like aged stone or hand-thrown clay. Its generous belly and short, gently collared neck give it the quiet presence of a piece brought back from a Mediterranean market — sculptural, grounded and unmistakably tactile.

The Setting

At twenty-seven centimetres tall it sits beautifully on a console, mantel, sideboard or dining table, and it is substantial enough to anchor a shelf or hearth on its own. Fill it with dried pampas, bleached grasses and preserved stems, or leave it bare as a sculptural object. The soft chalk-white and deep charcoal finishes both settle easily into modern, rustic and wabi-sabi interiors.

Design & Finish

The body is formed from durable iron for strength and stability, then coated in a textured matte finish that scatters light rather than reflecting it. There are no logos, glaze pools or high-shine areas — just an even, stone-like surface with a subtly irregular hand-made character. The weighted base keeps the vase stable even when styled with tall, top-heavy stems.

Styling & Use

Terravane is designed for dried and faux arrangements. Keep the interior dry and avoid standing water, which preserves both the finish and the metal body. Group the white and charcoal together for contrast, or repeat one finish along a shelf for a calm, gallery-like rhythm. Flowers and stems are not included.
