The Piece

Maelis pairs a wide, softly rounded glass shade with a slender metal frame. The shade is moulded with fine vertical ribs and finished with a flat brass-tone cap, so when the lamp is lit the glass glows evenly and the ribbing catches the light in gentle lines.

The Setting

Standing just over 40 cm tall, Maelis sits comfortably on a bedside table, writing desk or sideboard. Its low, broad silhouette and warm metal tones suit mid-century, classic and calm contemporary interiors alike, and it pairs naturally with walnut, oak and natural linen.

Design & Finish

The frosted, ribbed glass shade diffuses the light for a soft, even glow without glare. Below it, a slim brass-tone plated metal stem is wrapped in a dark wooden sleeve, rising from a round brass-tone base that keeps the lamp stable. A pull chain with a small brass-tone pendant switches the lamp on and off, a small detail that adds to its vintage character.

Use & Placement

Choose warm white (3000K) for a relaxed, amber-toned evening light, or cool white (6000K) for a crisper light when reading or working. Place the lamp on a stable, level surface near a socket, and allow enough clearance around the shade.
