The Piece
Cairnell sets a wide coolie shade in oatmeal textured fabric on a tall, tapering base of natural travertine. The stone's warm beige tone and open pores contrast gently with the soft weave of the shade for a calm, tactile piece.
The Setting
At 46 cm tall with a 40 cm shade, Cairnell anchors a console, sideboard or generous bedside table, and suits wabi-sabi, Japandi and relaxed modern interiors.
Design & Finish
The base is natural travertine left with its characteristic pores, so tone and pattern vary from piece to piece. A light-toned collar joins the base to the cone shade, which diffuses the light down onto the surface below and softly through the fabric.
Use & Placement
Cairnell takes a single E27 lamp holder and is operated by a button switch. Choose warm (3000K), neutral (4000K), cool (6000K) or a three-colour light source. Place it on a stable, level surface near a socket.
