The Piece

The Ardenne Cement Egg Planter is a soft, rounded floor planter with a calm, sculptural presence. Its egg-shaped body curves gently from a narrower base up to a wide, flat rim, giving plants a generous opening and a grounded, balanced silhouette. Made from a cement and magnesium clay composite with a matte finish, it is offered in three sizes and four understated colourways.

The Setting

Designed to stand on the floor indoors or out, Ardenne works as a single statement pot beside a sofa or doorway, or as a graduated group of three on a terrace, patio or balcony. The quiet, stone-like finishes sit comfortably alongside timber, paving, brick and contemporary interiors alike.

Planting & Placement

• Choose the 30 cm size for smaller houseplants and herbs, the 38 cm for leafy floor plants, or the 44 cm for small trees such as olives and acers.
• Plant directly with a suitable compost, or set a nursery pot inside to manage watering and drainage.
• Stand on a firm, level surface, and allow excess water to drain away rather than collect in the base.
• Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Care Guide

• Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners that could mark the matte finish.
• Lift rather than drag the planter when moving it, especially when it is filled.
• Avoid prolonged waterlogging and empty any standing water.
• In prolonged freezing weather, move the planter under cover to help protect the finish.
